Austin hails from Chicago, Illinois. The place where she fell in love with cycling.
Racing bikes was the natural evolution of a childhood spent at skateparks and ski hills. Her love of the sport slowly progressed from turning wrenches at bike shops to international and domestic success in road, cross, gravel, and ultra-endurance mountain bike racing.
Success racing locally gave way to roster spots with the Amy D. Foundation and Pratt Racing. Her desire to make the most out of those opportunities led her to Cycle-Smart where she found her stride working with Adam Myerson. Working with Adam was a collaborative process that brought her to podiums at the highest level across disciplines. Being a Cycle-Smart athlete was about being a student of the sport. Sharing in that process with others as a coach was the natural progression of her time learning and growing as a Cycle-Smart athlete.
While Austin has chased high-level performances throughout her career her love of sport is driven by the community and connection she’s found in it. Working with athletes is about sharing that love and helping others nourish healthy relationships to sport as they chase their goals.
Austin lives in Providence, RI and is accepting new athletes at all levels and abilities.
