Boston Beatdown

No, not that Boston Beatdown, I'm talking about Theo Bos. Isn't everyone? My old friend Coco asked about it in a comment on the last post, and I honestly have been thinking about it quite a bit, watching and watching again the slow motion video that was recently posted on Youtube:

FSU2009

Not sure if you've heard the squawk, but apparently Lance had that text on his bottom bracket at the Tour Down Under. VeloNews reports on it here:

Do people not really know what it stands for? Do you have to be part of the post-'90's era hardcore scene to know that FSU stands for Fuck Shit Up?

Hurry! Before it's too late!

I think my life is finally slow enough, for the first time in about 6 weeks, that I might be able to do a real blog entry. It's really too bad; so many notable things have happened since the start of August that would have merited entire entries unto themselves. I'm going to try to boil it all down to one post to get caught up. My life since August 1: - Lost the USA Crits leader's jersey in Charlotte. Lots of bad luck and bad choices in the last lap. - Got 6th at Haynes Park the next day, with a nice field sprint. Wish I could have done the same the day before. - Started a full week off the bike, sacrificing good form at Crit Nats for good form in September at San Francisco, DC, 'Cross Vegas, USA Crit Finals, and the start of the 'cross season. - Got more work done on the dinosaur sleeve in Athens while I was on my week off. - Got home and started the long, slow process of moving in with Janice in Portland. - Won the Salem Witches Cup:

A body in motion

I know I haven't blogged in a while. I'm trying. Too busy actually doing things to take the time to write about them. Until I get to it, here's my theme song for the past month, and my mantra to keep me from cracking:

Deadline - Tree

I've got to get things done
Before my permanent vacation
I'm always running
Running out of time
Is it true that haste makes waste
I can't afford to hesitate
I've got a Deadline on my Lifetime
Tick tock goes the clock
And it's never ever gonna stop
