Not so fast, Buddy.
When you see busted riders continuing to be lauded for their results, prettied up for the camera, and successful in cycling, being clean and open about it can feel like a cute little crusade that everyone claps for but no one really cares about.
A CONVERSATION WITH TYLER HAMILTON
That a non-profit like Best Buddies, which has a noble cause, would associate and affiliate with a banned rider, one who's never confessed, and who made up outlandish, ridiculous stories in his defense - that they would not only work with him, but promote him disingenuously with a phrase like "recently retired" instead of "recently suspended," well, it's a slap in the face to anyone who cares about clean cycling. Further, it shows just how many people want to "believe Tyler," and don't actually give a shit if cycling is clean or not.
It really eats at my resolve, and makes me wonder why I bother.
