Choking on snow
I am trying so desperately to get out of here. And at the same time, I DO NOT WANT TO GO!
Current plan is to leave here tomorrow and try to make it to Wilmington, Delaware, where I will set the new standard score for gypsy bike pros on Tom McDaniel's skee-ball machine. We agreed it was a new year, and time for a new tradition.
Wednesday I'll try to do a bigger day, and make it to Ryan Leech's place in Savannah, Georgia. I'm hoping the newly minted collegiate national 'cross champion can show me a thing or two while I'm there. It's strange; Ryan WAS the masters national champion, now he's the student national champion. There is something very, very Buddhist in that progression. All I know is that he goes to the Savannah College of Art. Do you know what that means? That's right: art school girls.

From there, I should be able to make it the last 4 hours to Samsula, Florida in the morning, hopefully to pre-ride the courses and help the race organizers Shannon, Nathan, and Paula with some set up. Not that I plan on hammering any stakes. That's Bilodeau's job. Sounds like I might have talked Ryan into coming down as well, so all the better.
If I get out of here tomorrow, it'll be a minor miracle.
