E-Mail Of The Day
Submitted by Adam Myerson on Wed, 12/02/2009 - 03:20.
Names changed to protect the innocent:
Dear Mr. Myerson.
Just a quick note to inform you that I can no longer offer you a free entry in the XXX Grand Prix. The event is very expensive to put on (2 officials, 1 pacer, 8 volunteer marshals, free ferry...ahem...I mean ferry).
In order for this unique race to continue (let's face it can you name another flat 1.4 mile, 3 corner course) I must raise the entry fee to $405 per rider ($5 of which is donated to the "Make Hairnets Legal Again Fund"). I know that some riders may find a $400 entry fee to race 1 hour a bit steep but time will tell how the racers feel about the increase.
Thanks again for your support!

Facetious or not....you can't say you didn't see that one coming
Oh, totally facetious! This one came from a friend who's also a race organizer. I did have to read it twice, though.
