I got that far in the process and said no fucking way. Almost 50 bucks to go to a club show? The Melvins are one of my favorite bands. I was so happy that I was actually going to make a little time for myself to go to a show, by myself, to see a band I listen to constantly. $50? I need to skip that on principle.

What would Ian Mackaye say?!

I got the price down to $32 and bought it. Still ridiculous.

If I didn't have to be at school by 7am, I'd be going to see the Melvins too. In my world, as in yours, time for a show is harder to come by than the money to go see it. $50 is pretty ridiculous to see a show like that though. But if you think back to "back in the day," I am sure that you can think of shows that you paid single digits to get into that you'd be willing to pay $100's of dollars if they were happening today. At those rates, I just hope that Kind Buzzo throws down hard.
