Fedoras are the new hipster mustaches.

Let's hope and pray that means there'll be less ironic mustaches in the near future, even if we have to tolerate jackasses wearing dumb hats in exchange.

hey now! my mustache is sincere (and i'm sure mr. driscoll's is as well). i wish i was a hipster though and could spend all my money on clothing and work 15hours a week at a coffee shop.

I'm envisioning "hipster fedoras" as say a bunch of kids who buy their jeans from the "misses'" department and end up looking strangely like Ralph Macchio from "Crossroads"... ick... But yeah it'd still beat the ironic mustache... For a "sincere" mustache, I tend to look no farther than Sam Elliott... After that, how could anyone else try?

I think the Ralph Macchio thing says it all. And isn't there something very ironic in trying to appear ironic? I can't stand it anymore. I'll second the point about Sam Elliot. That dude personifies coolness.
